At the end of a game, the start of a dream begins. The End explores the relationship between oneself, and the things we may dream. The interconnection between living and the vast universe. The End tells the story of an ever-changing environment, as you, the reader, the player, and the audience experience some final words before the end. It was made as a platform for poetry, allowing the audience a insight to my own interpretation of the words displayed on the screen.
This film was inspired by recent thoughts and inspirations brought on by the relationship humans have with nature, our responsibilities in life. Throughout the process of making, I was constantly thinking about the importance of intention within art and our everyday actions, how everything and everyone is connected.
This film was made entirely by me and adapted from the words of The End by Julian Gough. It was made entirely in 3D, modelled Maya, textured in Substance Painter 3D, lit and rendered in Unreal Engine 5, and edited with Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve. As part of my process I wrote a script, storyboarded, concepted an environment and props, modeled, textured and animated.
