I am a Chinese-Canadian designer exploring communication and pattern-making. My inspirations are industrial manufacturing, futurism, sculpture, and couture garment construction. I hope to advance my practice in creative direction and found my label in the future.

This project began with a set of used electronics to explore humanity’s obsession with the unreachable – the futures we design but never inhabit. From Metropolis’ (1927, Fritz Lang) mechanical utopia, to Mugler’s 90s metal spiraling and glazing into couture, to early 2000s computer imagery, where new technologies painted a future of digital art. Each era presents its illustration of the future, and we reach forever for a reality that recedes as we approach. Here, tension becomes texture: knits tensely stretch over reconstructed keyboard sculptures, upcycled aluminum spirals into an artisanal bustier, and computer keys wrap around electric cords into a dynamic train in movement. She is a huntress of eras, forever yearning and running through time.

Final work

Research and process
