My work focuses around abstract imagery of the sky generated through inceptionist principles, how it changes colour and how we are supported and nourished by it. I performed sky gazing rituals and meditated on potential end points to the sky while watching it change colour. I realised that there is no definable end point or start point to the sky. It becomes buried in us in every inhale and we become a part of it with every exhale. I explored this further through afterimages that are formed as a result of viewing the sky on a bright day, the light from the sky appears in the viewer’s eyelids as a negative phenotype imprint, for example the blue of the sky might turn orange or pink depending on weather conditions.
