Pot Stand explores people’s daily rituals and interactions with everyday objects focusing on planting in the home while living in an urban area. The final design features a circular rim at the top to hold the plant pot, easily allowing removal of the plant for repotting or changing. Halfway underneath the rim sits a circular plate with three holes, holding gardening tools conveniently and discreetly, which connects with dowels to join to the ring on top. Inspired by British crop circles, the simple circle shape recurs throughout the whole design and enhances planting in the home by providing space for a dish during watering along with creating compartments for other tools.
