# Project Description Blackout Angels. Alex Foakes Summary Final work I'm an illustration student but with a focus on narrative, using the medium as a vehicle to visualise stories or accompany themes I have set out to capture. Taking inspiration from primarily horror media, I always make sure my work has something to say, whether it is asking a simple question or exploring a web of complex characters. College School of Pre-Degree Studies Course UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Graduation year 2025 This project combines my interest of narrative with psychology and philosophy. I wanted to explore how a possibly life changing fortune interacts with the established head-spaces of 4 characters, who all come to view this ambiguous fate in a different way. Additionally, the fate these characters are left to deal with takes on a 4th dimensional life of its own, evolving with the medium itself. Final work Research and process House of Leaves House of leaves was a big inspiration for how it uses and breaks the 4th wall within the medium it is presented in.
