# Project Description Suspended Narratives Ale Perez Torres Summary Final work College London College of Fashion Course MA Fashion Photography Graduation year 2025 My practice is founded upon two fundamental pillars: the notion of photography situated within a condition of narrative suspension, and the conceptual tension that manifests in the figurative representation of portraiture. The concept of suspended narrative is articulated through the presentation of images within an open framework, intentionally leaving their interpretation to the viewer and resisting the imposition of predetermined readings. Concerning the question of representational tension, my inquiry engages with several conceptual frameworks, including the relationship between the photographed subject and the photographing subject, the dynamics of power between representation and represented, and the plurality of interpretive possibilities of the image, with particular reference to Aby Warburg’s contributions to art historical studies.
