Folk Resistance is a continuation of my self-directed portfolio, originally rooted in my exploration of traditional Lithuanian folk art. I developed the project into a conceptual exhibition brand identity aimed at uplifting and bringing awareness to Lithuanian design, a field shaped by a recent history of war and occupations. Despite these challenges, cultural objects such as folk art endured, continuing to preserve the essence of Lithuanian identity.

My visual language draws heavily from traditional elements, including textiles, clothing, crosses, doilies, spindles, and Easter eggs. I reinterpreted these motifs through experimental colour palettes and pixel art, using this digital aesthetic as a metaphorical bridge between the past, present, and future. This project was a personal exploration of heritage through design. It allowed me to reflect on how visual communication can act as both a tool of cultural preservation and progression.
