Prisca Vilsbol
About
Prisca Vilsbol is a Copenhagen-based artist and design researcher with roots in fashion and textile. With her former company Vilsbol de Arce, she created strong, sculptural and handcrafted collections, worn by the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Peaches and more. Her background as a master pattern-cutter, combined with her interest in innovative materials and processes has brought her to experiment with parametric design, biomaterials, automation, CNC fabrication, 3D modelling, programmable textiles and more. Armed with an extensive knowledge and network in the fields of fashion, new materials and circular economy, she has, beside her artistic practice, made it her mission to accelerate the implementation of sustainable and innovative processes through consultancy in product development. Whether working with textiles, clothing, wearables or mycelium, her fusionist approach to the technical, theoretic and aesthetic challenges of the medium at hand lead to poetic and futuristic translations of complex processes. prisca(at)vilsbol.com
