About
Prerna Singh is a multidisciplinary designer and architect based in London, working at the intersection of climate resilience and interspecies futures. With over 2.5 years of professional experience and a Master’s in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, she brings a transdisciplinary perspective that blends spatial design, material experimentation, and community-driven resilience.
Before pursuing her Master’s, Prerna worked in Delhi, India, as an interdisciplinary designer. Her experience spanned commercial architecture, interior design, and industrial design. Over time, however, she became increasingly aware of architecture’s limitations in addressing the needs of non-human life. This recognition led her to transition into Innovation Design Engineering, with the goal of reimagining design through a post-anthropocentric lens.
Prerna’s design philosophy focuses on creating multi-use, adaptable systems that reduce environmental impact by expanding the possible use cases of a single project. Rather than designing for singular function, she emphasizes versatility, resilience, and ecological integration.
Beyond traditional design, Prerna is also passionate about sound and performance. She has created sonic experiences for exhibitions and performance art, and her creative talents extend into music production and DJing. Open to collaborations across diverse industries, she continues to push the boundaries of design as a dynamic, multisensory, and inclusive practice.
