Major Projects

Highlights of his work from the Innovation Design Engineering programme, focused on the intersection of systems, products, and human experience.

Aelix: A New Creative Camera

Aelix challenges the conventions of traditional photography by proposing a new kind of creative camera. Rather than capturing a single, decisive moment, Aelix uses computational methods to capture and interpret the temporal essence of a scene. It creates rich, layered images that offer a new visual language for expressing memories and experiences, moving beyond the literal to the impressionistic.

Ao: Enhancing the Mobile Creative Workflow

Ao is a viewfinder for the iPhone, designed for creators who seek a more traditional and tactile way of making images. It addresses the ergonomic and usability gaps of a purely screen-based interface by offering the intuitive control of a classic camera. By doing so, it allows photographers to stay more connected to their subject and creative process, all with the camera in their pocket.

Res: Proactive Allergy Mitigation

Res proposes a paradigm shift for allergy management, moving from reactive, personal treatments to proactive environmental intervention. It is a responsive system that anticipates and mitigates airborne allergens in urban spaces. This approach creates healthier living and working environments, offering a scalable solution to a growing public health challenge.
