About
I am an artist and design engineer from Kingston, Jamaica. Before arriving at the RCA to carry out the double MA/MSc between the RCA and Imperial College London, I read Art History at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Throughout my higher education, human culture and its power to shape physical and nonphysical reality through narrative has been central to how I approach materials and making as an expression of learned behaviours.
My time at the RCA and ICL has given me the space to actively interrogate historically embedded Eurocentric narratives which perpetuate socio-ecological exploitation fueling the climate crisis. Deconstructing colonial and extractive frameworks and formulating alternative systems and methods of material production and association value, is central to my work as a More Than Human practitioner.
